He was forty years of age and completely out of shape, but when Dick’s son told him they needed to run as a team in a 5-mile fundraising race, he couldn’t say no. Later, when it was suggested that they compete in triathlons (swimming, running, and riding), Dick and Rick again couldn’t say no–even though neither one of them could swim. Here is the incredibly inspiring 30+ year story of Dick and his disabled son, Rick. As a team, they have now competed in over 1100 races. It’s a story of love, devotion, incredible perseverance.
